artfest 2010 trades

it's always a challenge to come up with something new and creative for trades....i always like to pick something that i can master using a new product or technique.... this year i came up with making my favorite Charlotte dolls from resin ice, an product susan lenart kazmer developed ..... non toxic resin..... i made over 200 little dolly's and learned all the ins and outs of making resin objects with molds.... last years trades were etched keys....... and i learned to etch in metal very well after 100 keys. hope everyone will make wonderful things, or leave them just as they are....

my artfest trade gave birth to over 200 resin dolly's made with ice resin..... see www.objectsandelements.com this amazing resin product made my dolly's. i made the molds from real vintage charlotte dolls, and poured the ice resin in molds to make 200 dolls. i was on a strict schedule to get it done on time, so at nite i would pour the resin, and next nite remove the dolls from the molds, then paint them with resin to make them clear.
