ingredients: stone from the heart, beads wrapped with love, looking glass to the soul, a hand to touch a friend, tied with nina's knots of love

at the end of the day i wanted to cry in nina's class, the universe had brought me in touch with a very amazing soul.....to be in the same room with her kindness, and watch her touch each person with her heart was such a special gift...

we actually drilled thru glass, i still cannot believe it....and in made connectors in pmc class

heart rock from leo carillo

i actually drilled the holes in this heart stone....i am still amazed i could do this....we learned how to use the dremel with no fear.

this is the beautiful necklace i made in nina's class. the hand pendent was made in catherine witheralls pmc class.

the master at work

nina made me promise not to post this picture i captured of her looking to the heavens, she thought it looked a little crazy, but in reality it was a divine connection that i was able to capture, this is not the picture, but just after it...she was showing us how to light the torch....how fitting

making handmade headpins

nina taught us how to make our own headpins....i just need a good torch, without a childs safety push ten buttons latch.

loving and giving hand

nina with much love gives her art freely back to the world, and this hand is very special in all her work as she gives us her knowledge and love to her students

ashley this is for you, look at the long stone at the end of necklace, how ironic you should go on a picnic on the beach and find these wonderful finger stones while i was away at artfest taking a class on stone soup using the very same stones.

artfest kathy says" we'll be back tommorrow

this is our little mascot, made by kathy clark. she is gails dear friend for many years. she came to her first artfest all the way from Connecticut. we found her in the art asylum all naked, abandoned. kathy and i found scraps of fabric, jewels, head bands, we used gails trade that said artfest. dolly hung on our door, and we even put her up for auction....she was made with love, and we love her..................... dolly says, be back tommorrow. we have to tell you all about nina bagleys class...

anahata's class

just a little story about anahata, the nite before my class we (gail, diane,yvonne and kathy-202 up) went to town for basic supplies at the market....we ran into anahata, and nearly fell over...we were like groupies chasing a movie star.... the girls wanted an autograph on their artwork they bought by her.....so we had to ask her in the market if she would sign her autograph on the artwork.... she was so gracious and normal.....we all stumbled our way like little girls to the parking lot and she kindly signed our stuff..... thanks anahata

this was one of my favorite from her class, george harrison...this photo doesn't do justice i'm afraid....

this is the face i used, for my blue icon, and now that i see it here, i dont much care for it.....but, looking at this photo, i love the hair again.....see 202 up, crazy hair, dont be afraid with the headresses and hair.

looking this over, i now remember anahata was doing two icons at one time....

this girl works fast....what an incredible moment to be able to watch her create

i took many pictures of anahata doing her work.....and i will post them, as i am fasinated with her magical talent

catherine demo

catherine made sure she demo'd everything she taught us....i am a visual person, and need this visual touch to make it click, and she was my girl for that....she taught us how to use the kiln, and this torch technique. thanks catherine...............see her wonderful work happy day art, her link posted in my favorite sites to visit.

pmc firing kiln

catherine provided 3 of these wonderful kilns....they will fire up to 4 layers of pmc clay pendents at 1500 degrees, all with the power of a mere equivalent of a light bulb...catherine provided supplies so our project moved smoothly, and we were able to make up to 7 pendents...that was the most i ever made with a pmc teacher. she thought of everything for us, up to a little bound book with ctc's, supplies, and how to's. she was a very inspirational teacher with kind heart/// we hope to hook up with her in her town up north, she lives near my daughter...

anahata's class

we did 2 collages in her class, this being the second, which involved doing a backround by painting shapes, and putting our icon off to one side...

the crowds were overwhelming at our girls work.....they wouldn'd believe me when i said they were spectaular, so i became the fly on the wall........here you go girls, just look at the buzz going

anahata's done my students...

starting from the left to right...yvonnes pinked winged princess, kathy's queen of fashion, diane's beautiful mandona, and gails forest fairy..... we were inspired by anahata, and one nite we took our art supplies to the common room, and even though our girls were dead tired, i convinced them they could all be anahata's.....and indeed they came up with these wonderful icons, each speaking from being....this is at show and tell nite, and many people stopped and admired their work...

yvonne took this amazing class, which you wove 2 different pictures together....see the ocean scene....her boy keggie in hawaii, and the second photo a beautiful tree, wove it, then stitched it, and then wove in a song....it's a wonderful world...........very complex...this computer picture does no justice... yvonne said the class was quite touching as people wove in their life stories, finding out they were adopted, meeting their new families....yvonne please give more details in comment section on teachers name..

gail had this class, and loved michael, she said he was wonderful, encouraging, fun. they made assemblage box that rotated on four sides.....

katherine englands mosiac class

this was katherine englands first time teaching at artfest/ my dear friend gail had the wonderful opportunity to have her class, and her techniques she learned were vastly improved....all edges were smooth around the end of her work. the class was taught at the little beach hut on the beach. they braved the bitter cold with an old fashion fire, and pretended to be on a cruise at high sea. katherine england was such a sweet, kind woman, gail loved being in her class.

whose your dadda

show and tell is always the highlight of artfest, and this year my favorite art project was done by opie and linda obrian, called whose your dadda, every dolly was a delight, i wanted to run home with all of them. it's always amazing to see what the teachers come up with, and this was absolutely grand...
