Sampson in big surf at Huntington Beach

This video was taken of Sampson last winter (if you call 80F in January winter)...It shows him retrieving his ball in some pretty high surf.

...Here's another video of our 14-year old golden.

We took Sampson to the beach this weekend...

We took our dog Sampson to the beach this weekend. He's the best swimmer there is, bar none.

Long day. Sammy back home from the beach.

After a tough day of swimming, Sampson snoozes to the music of Mick Jagger.

anahata style

excuse my computer inability to rotate this....while at artfest this last year, my roommate had anahata for teacher....the artwork from her class was beyond divine. the very last nite we begged our roommate to give us a quick lesson....we all picked up the energy from the class and made some wonderful things. this is one of the ones that will be featured on music c.d. (and i can't believe, (pinch) i did it.) i hope to take her class this year. next year she will be teaching at artfest... be sure to look at artfest classes. www.teeshamoore.com under workshops.

in the pureheart studio

these are some of my creations for the coming pureheart season. i should be in this studio much more, but find myself wanting to do some many art projects, so i get side tracked, but our busy season is coming up....these are the copper first stage creations, and they will be cast into silver... below you will see my work station...it looks like lunatic quarters, how do i make sense out of that mess....but i do know where everything is...and i clean it up but the next second it looks like that....scarrrryyyyyy

open the door

"the Door" miroslav holub, czech poet

this morning while reading a book on Buddhist meditation, it said all of us seek happiness, but most of us look outside ourselves to find it. we look for it in other people, in our work, in our leisure. as we grow older our dreams slowly fade. we become less idealistic, more pragmatic. our lives settle down into predictable patterns ....the czech poet urges us to have the courage to take a fresh look at our lives: go and open the door. maybe outside there's a tree, or a wood, a garden, or a magic city. go and open the door. maybe a dog's rummaging. maybe you'll see a face, or an eye, or the picture of a picture. go open the door. if there's a fog it will be clear. go and open the door. even if there's only the darkness ticking, even if there's only the hollow wind, even if there is nothing is there, and go open the door..... the door he speaks about is the door that opens inwards to revel our deepest needs and highest aspirations. Meditation is a means of opening that door. excert from "a practical guide to buddhist meditation" by paramananda.

a day at leo carillo beach

only 1 hour from my home, is the magnificent beach called leo carillo in malibu california. if you are ever in the neighborhood, be sure to visit this treasure of a beach. we went today to explore the tide pools, but the low tide was really a low high tide. you can find star fish, octopus, crabs, sea anemones amongst the rocks. there are caves at this beach, and wonderful rocks to climb. to access this beach you go under pacific coast high bridge. because of it's diverse landscapes they film many movies here. children love this beach, because they can search for sea animals, climb rocks and hunt for caves. it also has a camp ground, that has been our gathering now for 10 years with dear friends and children. today we took lisa from chicago, you can see she climbed rocks that she had to be rescued from by connor....
