new pureheart braclet collection
it is very hard to see the detail, but i have this new wonderful way of closure on these bracelets, and am finally using stones again. i am getting ready for my fall shows, one being in catalina island, and the other manhattan beach. i will be doing alot of turquoise mixed with many stones. the labrodite bracelet in the center heart looks amazing on. each bracelet is adorned with brass etchings of shells and corral, looks way cool in person. also made the leather band and stitched acient glass, and has tiny silver heart clasp.
rosary style
pureheart has been doing rosary style necklaces for sometime. i have started a new revival when i was watching dancing with the stars, and the southamerican came out that nite with a black shirt, bear chested and had on a black rosary, i melted, and hence i revived and updated my rosary style. the pendents are my etchings of birds.

etching metal
this is the very unglamorous process of etching....which is actually really fun and very addicting. i could easily give a class now, and feel students would be very successful with a finished product they could wear, or attach to something very special. i took a class last year with keith lubo, and another local class in l.a., and then etching hundreds of pieces since then i can say i have it down pat.....
this is the brew that etches the brass or copper. the key project refined my etching skills...i etched about 100 pieces for artfest trades. i like to etch on both sides...and this little method allows me to do it very easily...warming the etch ant in a casserole dish (old garage sale find), then suspending key or pendent on fishing wire into the etch ant. timing is the key, if the etch ant is the correct temperature, and the correct swishing goes on, and if leave in for short time, you will have etches without those lines you can get if left in the solution to long.

ferry ride
ms. vonnie la la, had been on a ferry, but never sat in the car while the ferry moved across the water, i told her that is the only way we had ever crossed, as it was always so cold in Seattle to be out and about....so we found a crepe shop, and had Seattle's finest coffee, and some delicious crepes......she was delighted beyond words ...
